My name is Mike D’Urso and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I am the owner of Stand Amid the Roar, a therapy practice for those who struggle and want to find a better way in life. I became a counselor because I struggled with my own mental health throughout my life and this has motivated me to be the best therapist I can for my patients. I used a combination of REBT/CBT/DBT but often will use a holistic approach from many disciplines. Whatever your goals are, I am here to help you achieve it. I hope to see you soon.

In my spare time, I love spending time with dog Rowdy, riding my motorcycle, spending time with my friends and family, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and getting tattooed. Everyone is different and I embrace that here!

Rowdy D’Urso, Therapy Dog, retired.

Rowdy is Stand Amid the Roar’s resident therapy dog who is currently retired from a long career of bringing smiles and paws to others and especially his owner, Mike. Despite being blind, Rowdy never lets it slow him down!

Rowdy may be seen in the background of sessions or heard eating treats.
